Mobile broadband users crying out for more
Mobile broadband internet providers have many opportunities to propose further paid-for services without need of offending their present customer base, it has been claimed.
Based on mobile data agency Acision, which recently carried out a discussion into dongle services quality, consumers recognise that internet service providers may need to alter the way they deliver broadband internet to remote users and business broadband on the go.
The corporation stated mobile broadband users have “high acceptance” of policies which enable a fair allocation of the available capacity, and are prepared to pay a premium for priority broadband use.
Consumers are willing to pay for content optimisation providing that they benefit “in those areas of the service experience which they find most critical”, Acision said.
The firm added that they will be well-equipped to determine what sort of trade-off they are willing to acknowledge, providing they are given all relevant information regarding service limitations.
